Typewritten transcript of Letter of Feb. 25, 1889 from Charles C. Parry to Bessey

Davenport Iowa Feb. 25th 1889

Prof. C. E. Bessey

Dear Sir

As I expected to return to California early next month (March 14 or about indefinitely, I would like to clear up all outstanding accounts. You will therefore oblige me by remitting at your convenience that charges on the parcel of plants sent you at your request, ($8, )

We have had such a pleasant winter and I have been so pleasantly occupied that I have not pined for the Pacific Coast, but now as the season advances I am anxious to get back to do up some unfinished work The present year being the 41st since I commenced botanying on the Pacific Coast.

I shall hope some time going or returning to drop in upon you, in your promising location.

Very sincerely yours

C. C. Parry
