I wish I knew how
the contest for members of the
B. of Trustees has turned out, or
will turn out – the affair is
looked for every hour. It will
have much to do with our
future. When Hunt resigned
he wanted to nominate his
successor. This was refused
him. He wanted to nominate
Akers by previous agreement.
Then Akers was subjected to
a test vote with 9 members
present 5 voting against and
4 for. Since then Akers has
been working up his case
with the canvasing new
members.It is feared he
will gain his point. He is
a shallow-brain, and [?]
represents him not altogether
