in the public schools, confining ourselves to the
grammar schools and grades below.

In talking with Father Clarkson about the
matter he suggested to the writer that you
could prepare a text book on Botany, and a
History of the United States.

We write you to know whether you would enter
into such an arrangement or not; upon
what terms, and if you could have them completed
within the next six month.

Would be pleased to have you suggest any other
subject upon shich you might prepare a book;
or the name and address of any man, or woman,
whom you think would be competent to prepare
