My dear Professor:
I am sorry to hear
that my review has been
forestalled, for I am desirous
of writing out my opinion
of the best methods in
Botany, and this would

opportunity. However, it
cannot be helped. I do not
have a chance of seeing
"Science", and if it is not
asking too great a favor
I would like to examine
several of your latest numbers
and I will pay postage both
ways and not retain them
but a day or two. The
editor has not written me
