Your letter to Mother is before me and in reply I will say that we have not invested $1000 of Mother money. It is very different to loan money here for more than 0-%, and a few have loaned large sums at long time of 4 3/4 %.

It will be a great advantage to Mother if you can dispose of it for her. It is in the [Gollage?] Treasury and can be had at any time. She can let you have $1000 on short notice.
