our cellar, but Mr. [Bigelow?]
says it will do no good
to try and get it out for
a few days yet, as the
ground is so full of water
that it will come right
back again. The children
all keep well – tho' the
heat makes them uncomfortable
+ occasionally cross
and fretful. [East?] has had
heat rash on his back for
some days. Yesterday he
made this remark, [sic.]
"If I was a dog, I would
