I desire to ask you to give me an outline
of your course in Botany as it now stands.
I presume you have made many changes
and improvements since I was a
student. I have especially felt the
need of the microscopical course you
now have, which I shen a student
did not get. I have become familiar
with [microscopulation?], and use the
[sic.] instrument almost every day
in my work, but yet there are so
many things I need information
upon about microscopical work,
which I have not time to experiment
upon.

I don't know when I will be able
to do the extra technical work, which will
entitle me to the M. S. degree.

I am very much crowded with work
and am trying to work upon the German
Language. I desire to spend my vacations
[in?] state investigations. Mrs. H. was
south last summer, but I have not been up
for two years, and I will not be south next
year. We will have R. R. [?] in
the spring. With kind regard to all the
I. A. C. friends Mrs. B. & yourself

I am Very Truly
F. L. Harvey
