Dear Bessey,

I feel obliged to dispose of
my fine collection of fossils. I believe it to
be the best collection west of Ann Arbor, and
the college that gets it will have the best
facilities for teaching Paleontology to be
found in the west. I offer it for
$3000.00 and believe it to be very cheap
at that price. I will attend to its removal,
to its arrangement in [?] cases and will
guarantee the accuracy of the labels.

Does your college want anything of
the kind? Please bring it to the attention of
the proper authorities and oblige.

Yours very Tuly
S. Calvin
