Catawba Island, Jan 8th '80.
Dr Brother,
Just
as I was boarding the train
yesterday to come to this place
where I am teaching, Willis came
to me with your letter concerning
the Mich. land. I must say that
I think $1000 a very low price
for it, especially in view of the
increased valuation of every kind
of property within the last half
year. Cash in an [effort?], of course,
and that is the only consideration
which would induce me to say
sale, at that price. Perhaps it is
best to take the offer — if
you have one — and end the
thing at once. [Do?] I say [well? / will?]
