Prof. Bessey,

Dear Sir.

Your letter to Dr. Rothbrook, (together with a copy of your book) has come to hand. On the 19th of June last Dr. R. left us for Europe. He is now with Prof. De Barre of [Strafobing]? and will continue with him till February next, engaged in studying the life history of the [?]. He wrote us that he is delighted with Prof Debarre and his next [?] of institution. I shall inform him of your [kindness]?
