Lincoln,Nebraska(sic) June 12th, 1888.

The Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska met at the Chancellors office at 7:30 p.m. pursuant to the provisions of the By-Laws,for(sic) the annual meeting of said Board.

Present Regents Gere,Hull,Mallalieu(sic) and Roberts.

Absent Regents Burnham and Davis.

The minutes of the last preceeding meeting were read and objected to by Regent Hull: the question of the approval of the minutes was passed for the present.

Record of meeting May15.expunged(sic) (see page )

Regent Mallialieu moved that the minutes of the informal meeting of the Board held at Omaha on May 15th. 1888, be expunged from the record,which(sic) motion prevailed. (see page )

Corner stone.

Ordered on motion of Regent Mallalieu,that(sic) the corner stone of the new Industrial College building be laid under the direction of the President of the Board of Regents.

"Nebraska Hall"

The Secretary was instructed,there(sic) being no objection,to(sic) designate the new building in the record of proceedings as "Nebraska Hall",until(sic) the report of the building committee is formally considered and acted upon.

Reports received.

The Secretary presented and read the following: Secretary's report of certificates issued since December 1st. 1887; report of Treasurer of the Agricultural Experiment Sation; financial report of the Steward; record of proceedings of the executive committee of the agricultural experiment station,and(sic) financial report of the Superintendent of the experimental farm,all(sic) of which were received and referred to the finance committee.

Reports received.

The Secretary also read the general report of the Steward,which(sic) was received and referred to the finance committee and the committee on course of study. Lieut.Dudley(sic) presented and read report of the military department which was received and referred to the committee on course of study together with the recommendations on file with the Secretary on behalf of Lieutenants Griffith and Pershing for detail as military instructor.

The Secretary read a report from the Superintendat(sic) of construction of the new buildings,which(sic) was received and referred to the committees in charge.

The executive committee of the Agricultural Experiment Station made a verbal report of progress in
