Proceedings of the Executive Committee of the Agricultural Experiment Station.

Lincoln, Nebraska March 26th. 1888.

The Executive Committee of the agricultural experiment station of the University of Nebraska,met(sic) at the office of the Director of said station.

Present Regents Gere and Burnham and professor Bessey.

J.S.Dales(sic) appointed Secretary of the committee.

On motion it was ordered that Mr.J.S. Dailes(sic) be appointed secretary of the committee.

Salary of $5oo. per yr.

On motion it was also ordered that the salary of the Secretary and Treasurer of the station be fixed at five hundred dollars per year,and that he be paid for the year ending July 1st.1888 for a full years service.

Salary of Director $5oo.

Ordered also that the salary of the Director of the station be fixed at five hundred dollars per year for his services as such Director and while said services continue, and that payment of such amount be made for the year ending July 1st.1888.(sic)

Director to complete arrangements with L. Bruner &c.

Ordered that the Director be instructed to complete arrangements with Lawrence Bruner as Entomologist to the station, in accordance with the resolution of the Board of Regents,and(sic) that his salary for the quarter April 1st. to June 3oth.(sic) be paid out of the item for current expenses.

Chairman of Bd. to act for Director.

Ordered that in the temporary absence of the Director the Chairman of the Board shall approve all bills,the(sic) same to be formally audited by the Director on his return.

Secretary to be purchasing agent of station.

On motion of professor Bessey it was ordered that the secretary of the executive committee be the purchasing agent of the station subject to the written directions of the Director of the station or in his absence of the chairman of the Board, and the committee.

Method of allowing & paying bills against station.

On motion of professor Bessey it was ordered that all bills against the station be required to be itemized and presented for approval of director on the first day of the month: that all bills shall be made in duplicate and receipted by creditors in duplicate: that due notice be given accordingly and that printed blanks and vouchers be prepared for the conduct of the business of the station embodying these regulations.

Secretary of committee to contract for addition to breeding house.

Ordered on motion of professor Bessey that the secretary of the committee be authorized to contract for the erection of a suitable addition to the present outbuilding on the campus,for(sic) the keep-
