329Special Meeting Lincoln, Nebraska The Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska met on this day for a special meeting at 8:30 p.m., in the Administration Building on the city campus. Regents present: Regents absent: University officials present: Minutes approved The minutes of the proceedings of the Board at its meeting held September 18, 1959, were approved, copies of the same having been transmitted to the several members of the Board under its order of October 1, 1926. From the Chancellor's office come reports of resignations, leaves of absence, new appointments and adjustments in work and salary. Money being available for those purposes from former apportionment by the Board, the following actions are taken. It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried, that the following resignations be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's office. Resignations approved RESIGNATIONS George Wayne Glidden, part-time Instructor in Secondary Education. effective September 1, 1959. Madame Claude-Edmonde Magny, Visiting Professor of French, effective September 1, 1959; Mrs. Magny failed to arrive in Lincoln from Paris for the opening of the fall semester. Jerald L. Reece, part-time Instructor in Secondary Education, effective September 1, 1959. Gary K. Roberts, College Correspondence Instructor, University Extension Division, effective September 18, 1959. Thomas R. Schwab, Assistant County Extension Agent, effective October 2, 1959. Willa W. Cammack, County Extension Agent, effective October 15, 1959. John R. Kuiken, Instructor in Dairy Husbandry, effective October 18, 1959. It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, that the following leaves of absence be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's office. Leaves of Absence approved LEAVES OF ABSENCE Norma G. Johnson, Assistant Professor of Nursing, College of Medicine, leave of absence without pay from September 28, 1959, to August 31, 1960; to attend University of Nebraska. Ralph H.
