328Special Meeting worked conscientiously toward increasing the efficiency of dair production in the State of Nebraska; and WHEREAS, Mr. Sanders, as an agricultural representative of the Cooper Foundation, devoted his efforts and knowledge to the 4 -H Dairy Calf Program, to the state's district junior dairy shows and to the 4-H Leaders Training Sessions, and in so doing proved to be an invaluable counselor and friend of the youth of Nebraska in their formative years. Be It Therefore Resolved, that the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska hereby memorialize the outstanding contributions Mr. Sanders made through the Cooper Foundation to the State of Nebraska as a dairy husbandman, as a leader of youth, and as an outstanding citizen, and that this expression of profound regret at his passing be made a part of the official records of th is institution. It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried that the following allocations to the National Defense Student Loan Fund be approved: From the Carl Herman Larson bequest, $7,975.48; from the Campbell Soup Company grant, $552.52. These allocations t ogether represent a one-ninth matching of an additional $76,734.00 federal capital contribution to the National Defense Student Loan Fund at the University of Nebraska. It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried that the president be authorized and directed to execute Amendment No. 2 to Contract No. ICA-W-610 with the International Cooperation Administration.
