327Special Meeting Sign amendent to Memo.of Agree. with ARS, USDA, re cancellation of agreement and the director or associate director of the Agricultural Experiment Station be authorized and directed to execute an amendment to the Memorandum of Agrreement dated May 4, 1957, between the Board of Regents and the Agricultural Research Service, U. S. Department of Agriculture. This amendment equalizes the position of the University and the Agricultural Research Service with respect to cancellation of the Agreement. As a result of this amendment, paragraph 8 of the Memorandum of Agreement will read as follows: "It is mutually understood and agreed that this Agreement shall continue in effect for a period of not less than ten years from the date of said Agreement and that thereafter it may be renewed automatically from year to year unless cancelled by either party after first giving the other party a year's notice in writing in advance of the effective date desired." Approve Forest Fire Cooperation with Rushville and Hay Springs Rural Fire Protection Dist. It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, that the president and business manager b y authorized and directed to execute Agreements for Forest Fire Cooperation with the Rushville Rural Fire Protection District and with the Hay Springs Rural Fire Protection District. The resolution of April 9 authorizing the president and corporation secretary to act for the Board of Regents in executing agreements for forest fire cooperation is hereby amended to authorize execution by the president of the Board of Regents and the business manager of the University. Bids for kitchen equipment-Nebr.Center for Continuing Education From the business manager comes a summary of proposals received as a result of a request for new bids for supplying kitchen equipment for the Nebraska Center for Continuing Education. Proposals received were as follows: SUMMARY OF PROPOSALS Name Amount Servco Company $ 76,591.30 Omaha Fixture & Supply Company 77,688.65 Stainless Equipment Company 78,422.00 Pegler and Company 83,811.00 Low bid accepted It was moved by Regent Adkins, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, that the recommendation of the business manager be accepted and that the apparent low proposal of the Servco Company of St. Louis in the amount of $76,591.30 be accepted. RESOLUTION - IN Memoriam Chris H. Sanders It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and carried, that the following resolution be adopted and that copies of the resolution be sent to Mrs. Sanders and to the Cooper Foundation. R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Chris H.
