Composition of University Building Committee revised

As a result of changes in allocations of the State of Nebraska Institutional Building Levy, with earmarking for activities in agriculture, and as a result of the extension of the University Hospital and College of Medicine Building Levy, reorganization of the University Building Committee is desirable.

It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, that the University Building Committee henceforth shall consist of three dependent sections: one section for agriculture, one section for the medical center, and one section for the remainder of the University. Serving as members of all three sections will be the following: Deanof Faculties to serve as chairman, Business Manager to serve as secretary, Dean of the Graduate College, Director of Planning and Construction, Chairman of the Department of Architecture. In addition to the five persons serving on all three sections, each section shall have four additional members.

Authorize contract with U. S. Air Force for payment of tuition ofpersonnel enrolling for instruction

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried, that the president and assistant corporation secretary be authorized and directed to execute Contract No. AF-25(605)-654 with the U. S. Air Force. This contract provides during the period September 1, 1959 to June 30, 1960, for payment to the University of $7.50 per semester hour of the tuition cost for Air Force personnel enrolling for courses of instruction at the University of Nebraska. Costs beyond $7.50 per hour are to be paid by the respective students.

Authorize contract for payment of tuition for Naval Reserve Officer students

It was moved by Regent Welsh, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and carried, that the president be authorized and directed to execute Contract No. N600(22)52897 with the U. S. Navy. This contract provides during the period July 1, 1959 to June 30, 1960, for payment to the University of tuition and fees for students enrolling in Naval Reserve Officers Training programs.
