Board rescinds action of April 9 re sale of property to Wesley Foundation

From the Business Manager comes a request that withdrawal be made of the authority granted by the Board of Regents on April 9, authorizing the Business Manager to negotiate with the Wesley Foundation for sale by the University to the Wesley Foundation of the property located on the northeast corner of 16th and R Streets. It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Adkins, motion put to vote and carried that the April 9 action of the Board of Regents on this matter be rescinded.

Candidates for Degrees and Certificates

The faculties of the several colleges of the University having submitted their recommendations of candidates as required by law, it was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Adkins, motion put to vote and carried, that degrees be granted and certificates of completion of requirements in special courses be issued, all as shown in the several lists immediately following. It is hereby ordered that degrees in courses and certificates of proficiency in special subjects as recommended by the several college faculties aforesaid and as described below be and the same are hereby granted to the persons named respectively therefor; that diplomas and certificates in the usual form bearing the date of June 6, 1959, be prepared and authenticated in the usual manner and be publicly awarded by the Chancellor of the University to said candidates according to the custom of the University.
