The Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska met on this day for a regular meeting at 8:15 a.m. in the Administration Building on the city campus at Lincoln, as required by the by-laws.

Minutes approved

The minutes of the proceedings of the Board at their meeting held April 9, 1959, were approved, copy of the same having been transmitted to the several members of the Board under its order of October 1, 1926.

From the Chancellor's office come reports of resignations, leaves of absence requests, new apointments, adjustments in work and salary, summer session appointments, retired personnel and deceased members. Money being available for those purposes from former apportionment by the Board, the following actions are taken.

Resignations approved

It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, that the following resignations be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's office.

John Francis Steinman, Resident in Psychiatry, College of Medicine, without stipend, effective January 19, 1959.

Russell Oliver Saxvik, Lecturer inNeurology and Psychiatry, College of Medicine, without stipend, effective February 28, 1959.

Lulu M. Pfister, Head Nurse and Instructor in Hospital Nursing, effective March 20, 1959.

Marcus A. Hairstone, Research Associate in Pedodontics, effective April 1, 1959. Leave of absence to September, 1959; terminated also.

Calvin C. Lepp, County Agricultural Extension Agent, effective April 18, 1959.

Alton S. Hotaling, Producer-Director, In-School Television, effective April 30, 1959.

Betty Lou Parks, Assistant County Home Extension Agent, effective April 30, 1959.

Dawn Barger, Lecturer in Speech Therapy, College of Medicine, without stipend, effective May 1, 1959.

Melvin E. McKnight, Research Associate in Entomology, USDA, effective May 1, 1959.

Roberta F. Henderson, County Home Extension Agent, effective May 31, 1959.
