Retirement Approved It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried, that the following retirement be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's office. Raymond Lloyd Thompson, Checkstand Assistant at Student Union, at $67.86 per year, single life, effective September 1, 1958. Accept Ford Foundation Grant to continue educ. television It was moved by Regent Welsh, seconded by Regent Adkins, motion put to vote and carried, that a grant from The Ford Foundation in the amount of $6,756.00 be accepted. This grant supplements an earlier grant from The Ford Foundation for the period July 1, 1958 to June 30, 1959, in continuation of an experimental project in educational television, as part of The National Program in the Use of Television in the Public Schools. Accept research and training grants It was moved by Regent Welsh, seconded by Regent Adkins, motion put to vote and carried, directing the research grants in the sum of $51,643.oo and training grants in the sum of $29,230.00 as reported by the Deputy Research Administrator, Harold E. Wise, under date of January 20, 1959, be accepted. Research Grants -- $51,643 $500 from Nebraska Heart Association for research by Dr. Carol R. Angel of the College of Medicine: Response to Loads of Sodium and Potassium in the Hypertensive and Salt Losing Adrenogenital Syndrome. $11,500 from U. S. Public Health Service for research by Dr. M.
