Authorize termination Agreement with U. S. Dept. of Agriculture Library

From Mr. Frank A. Lundy, Director of University Libraries, comes information that the Cooperative Agreement with the U. S. Department of Agriculture Library shall be terminated on December 31, 1958, at the request of the U. S. Department of Agriculture Library.

It was moved by Regent Swanson, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, directing the President of the Board of Regents shall be authorized to sign a Termination Agreement with the U. S. Department of Agriculture Library, original agreement dated July 28, 1956.

From the University Building Committee comes information that the Division of Conservation and Survey presently housed in Nebraska Hall will in the near future be moved to permanent quarters in the building purchased from the Elgin National Watch Company.

Bldg.Committee Recommendation

Upon completion of the removal of the Divn. of Conservation and Survey from Nebraska Hall, it will be unoccupied and it is recommended that the building be demolished. It was further recommended that on demolition and removal of Nebraska Hall the building purchased from the Elgin National Watch Company be named "Nebraska Hall."

It ws pointed out by the Building Committee that Nebraska Hall has long been in a state of disrepair, that it was condemned by the State Fire Marshall several years ago and has been used by the University during the interim on a temporary basis.

Authorize demolition of old Nebraska Hall

Re-name Elgin Bldg. "Nebraska Hall"

It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Elliott, that the recommendation of the University Building Committee be approved wherein Nebraska Hall shall be demolished as soon as the Division of Conservation and Survey vacate the building and further, that the building purchased from the Elgin National Watch Company be named "Nebraska Hall."

Name Northeast Nebraska Experiment Station

From the office of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, W. V. Lambert, comes a recommendation that the Northeast Nebraska Experimental Farm in Dixon County be renamed Northeast Nebraska Experiment Station.

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and carried, that the Northeast Nebraska Experimental Farm in Dixon County be renamed Northeast Nebraska Experiment Station.

Authorize contract with U.S.Army for evaluation of corres. program

It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Foote, that the Business Manager, Carl A. Donaldson, shall be authorized to sign in behalf of the Board of Regents, an Agreement with the U. S. Army for evaluation of correspondence program, work to be done by staff of the University Extension Division. Motion put to vote and carried.

Authorize contract with U. S. Navy re instruction to NROTC cadets

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, directing the president and corporation secretary of the Board of Regents shall be authorized to sign in behalf of the Board, a contract with the U. S. Navy for furnishing instruction in the Naval Training program to NROTC cadets.

Authorized contract with U.S.Army Corps for flight training of ROTC cadets

It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and carried, directing that the president and assistant corporation secretary of the Board of Regents shall be authorized to sign in behalf of the board, Contract No. N600(22)49138 with the U. S. Army Corps for Army ROTC Flight Training for ROTC cadets at the University of Nebraska.

Authorize duplicate diploma

It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, directing that a duplicate diploma be issued to Mr. Lewis Hipsley Henderson it being declared by Mr. Henderson that his original diploma, a Bachelor of Laws cum laude granted June 5, 1939, was lost during a move to
California.
