It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried, that the following leaves of absence be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's Office. Leaves of Absence Approved LEAVES OF ABSENCE C. Bertrand Schultz, Director of the Museum and Professor of Geology, leave of absence with pay for the period July 15 to 31, 1958, to do research and complete manuscript at Frick Laboratory, New York City. Lloyd K. Jackson, Associate Professor of Mathematics and Astronomy, leave of absence without pay for the academic year 1958-59; to accept visiting professorship at the University of Oregon. Karl J. Shapiro, Professor of English, leave of absence without pay for the period February 15 to April 11, 1959; to deliver Elliston lectureship at the University of Cincinnat. It was moved by Regent Welsh, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, that the following new appointments be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's Office. New Appointments Approved NEW APPOINTMENTS Interim appointment from Chancellor's Office College of Agriculture Mr. Kay F. Knudson, Agricultural Extension Assistant and Assistant County Agricultural Extension Agent, at $4200 per year effective June 2, 1958. Patricia A.
