Special Meeting
April 1, 1958

Approve Student Tribunal

It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Swanson, motion put to vote and carried, directing the proposed Charter of the Student Tribunal of the University of Nebraska be approved and accepted.

Executive Session

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, directing the Board of Regents now sit in executive session for the purpose of considering Honorary Degree recipients, Distinguished Service Awards and the Nebraska Builder Award.

Nominate Honorary Degree Recipients

From the Faculty Committee for nomination of Honorary Degree recipients comes the nomination of Dr. G. P. Sprague to receive the Honorary Degree Doctor of Science. In addition from the Chancellor's office comes recommendation that Dr. Franklin Murphy be given the Honorary Degree Doctor of Science.

Granted to Dr. G. P. Sprague and Dr. Franklin Murphy

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and carried, directing that Honorary Degrees be awarded to the following persons at the time of the June, 1958 Commencement:

Dr. G. P. Sprague, Doctor of Science
Dr. Franklin Murphy, Doctor of Science

Distinguished Service Awards

It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded byRegent Swanson, motion put to vote and carried directing the following persons shall receive Distinguished Service Awards from the Alumni Association:

Robert A. Hardt, '22, Montclair, N. J.
Allen J. Sutherland, '18, San Diego, Calif.
Dr. Earle George Johnson, '10, Grand Island, Nebr.

Alternate

Dr. Elizabeth Mason Hohl, '15, Hollywood, Calif.

Nebraska Builder Award to Otto Kotouc, Sr.

For the Nebraska Builder Award which is made by the Board of Regents the following persons were nominated by the Board: Mr. Otto Kotouc, Sr. of Humboldt, Nebraska, and Mr. Ralph O. Canaday of Hastings, Nebraska. It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and carried that the nomination for Nebraska Builder Award be closed. Written ballot revealed the Nebraska Builder Award for 1958 shall be given to Mr. Otto Kotouc, Sr.

There being no further business, the Board adjourned.
