66Special Meeting It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, that the following Resolution be approved: WHEREAS, the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska desires to enter into a lease with Grace Cox, covering the South Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 15, Township 10, Range 7, in Lancaster County, Nebraska, for a term of five years, automatically renewable unless sixty days prior to the termination of the lease, or any subsequent renewal, either party notifies the other party of intended termination of the lease, at a rental of One Thousand Dollars per year, said lease to begin March 1, 1958; Resolution re rental of land from Grace Cox NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Carl A. Donaldson be authorized and empowered for and in behalf of The Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska, to enter into such lease with Grace Cox upon the drafting thereof in form approved by the University's attorneys. Authorize rental of land from Charles C. Tubbs and Mildred Tubbs and Irvin F. Gillen and Kathleen M. Gillen It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, authorizing the president and corporation secretary of the Board of Regents to sign in behalf of the Board, a lease with Charles C. Tubbs and Mildred Tubbs for rental of ten acres, and a lease with Irvin F. Gillen and Kathleen M. Gillen for the rental of 15 acres near the Agricultural Experiment Station farm at 70th and Adams. Authorize continuation of AEC grant It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Swanson, motion put to vote and carried, directing the president and corporation secretary of the Board of Regents be authorized to sign in behalf of the Board Supplement No. 5 to Contract No. AT(11-1)-249 with the U. S. Atomic Energy Commission, for an additional grant of $8,836.00, covering the period to January 31, 1959. From Dr. Frank E. Henzlik, Dean of the Teachers College, comes information that the Link Foundation of Washington, D. C. is offering a $3,000 grant in support of a project in the Teachers College for the development of regional and national programs of Air Age Education as they relate to teacher education. It is recommended by Dean Henzlik that this grant be accepted. Accept grant from Link Foundation It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and carried, directing that the grant from the Link Foundation, Washington, D. C. for Air Age Education be accepted. Prof.Curtis E. Elliott authorized to act as educ.advisor for Natl. Assn. of Insurance Agents From the Dean of the College of Business Administration, Dean Earl S. Fullbrook, comes information that Prof. Curtis M. Elliott, Professor of Economics and Insurance, has been invited by the National Association of Insurance Agents with headquarters in New York City to serve as its educational advisor. Dean Fullbrook advises that these duties will involve advice to the general educational programs of the Association and infrequently, the reading and evaluation of manuscripts considered by the Association for publication. It is rquested that permission be granted to Dr. Elliott to accept this appointment. Elliott to accept that appointment to serve as educational advisor to the National Association of Insurance Agents.
