Approve Acquisitons for F. M. Hall Collection
It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, that acquisition for the F. M. Hall Collection be approved as recommended by art advisors and the Director of the Art Galleries.
Acknowledge receipt of final report of Ad Hoc Committee on teacher certification
It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Swanson, motion put to vote and carrieed, that the Board of Regents acknowledge receipt f the final report of committee findings of the Ad Hoc Committee on teacher Certification.
Resolution
Thomas C. Woods
It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Foote, that the following Resolution be spread on the official minutes of the Board of Regents of the Univerity of Nebraska :
Resoultion
Whereas, Thomas C. Woods passed away at Lincoln, Nebraska on March 22, 1958; and
Whereas, Mr. Woods served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Nebraska FOundation for several years; and
Whereas, Mr. Woods in his capacity as a Trustee of the Foundation, as an officer of the Woods Charitable Fund, Inc., and as a distinguished citizen of Nebraska , maintained a deep and sustained interest in the academic life of the University of Nebraska; therefore,
Be it resolved that Mr. Woods' thoughtful and examplary interest in the University of Nebraska is formally and gratefully acknowledged by the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska which causes this memorial resolution to be spread unpon the permanent minutes of the meeting of April 22, 1958 and
Be if further resolved that the President of the Board of Regents convey to Mr. Woods' family the Board's sorrow at his untimely passing.
