Oct. 15 1889 My dear Prof. Bessey, Your arrangements for publishing my article on wheat smut are entirely satisfactory. Indeed I am really flattered that it is to have so fine a setting. I would like to have you send me 50 copies of Article VII that is my article with your introduction to it. I think it is sufficiently complete without the addition of any statement as to its source. Send me the bill for the extra expense. I suppose we must say "Gilletia [word] [word] The Truey folks have quite a liking to to the Oct. Bulletin. Hope to meet you next week at Madison.
