40Regular Meeting Oct 8 -- 1896 Mailing called to order with Pres Philbrick in the chair. The amendment to the membership clause -- making all students eligible to membership who have had drill equivalent to six months in the university battalion -- was adopted by a unanimous vote. The membership committee proposed[?] names to be acted upon at the next meeting. The names [?] as follows, Stabbing, Calleff, [Hippler?], Harman, Mumford, Hallingnorth, [Hussler?], [?], [?]. Mr Oury made a stirring appeal to the company for foot ball money and succeeded in getting a motion before the house appropriating fifteen dollars to that cause. The motion was carried.
