Special Meeting

The Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska met on this day for a speical meeting at 9:45 A.M. in the Adminstration building on the city campus at Lincoln.

Regents present:

C. Y. Thompson
Frank O. Foote
J .G. Elliott
C. E. Swanson
J. L. Welsh

University officials present:
Messrs. Clifford M. Hardin, Chancellor
A. C. Breckenridge, Dean of Faculties
Jospeh Soshnik, Assistant Corporation Secretary

Minutes Approved
The minutes of the proceedings of the Board at their meeting held October 19, 1957 were approved, copy of the same having been trasnmitted to the several members of the Board under its order of October 1, 1926.

From the Chancellor's office comes reports of resignations, new appointments, ad interim to the University staff, retirement, and adjustments in work and salary for members of the several staffs, money being available for those purposes from former apportionment by the Board, the following action is taken.

Resignations approved
It was moved by Regent Swanson, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, accepting reccomendation of the Chancellor's office that the following resignations be approved:

W. Robert Malony, Clinical Assistant in Obatetrice and Gynecology, effective June 30, 1957.

Edward Andrew Stika, Clinical Instructor in Urology, effective October 1, 1957.

George Robert Kalley, Field Work Instructor in School of Social Work, effective October 11, 1957.

Cecilia Kennedy, Assistant in Field Work Instructiom, School of Social Work, effective October 11, 1957.

Mary Catherine Nougent, Assistant in Field Work Instruction, School of Social Work, effective October 11, 1957.

Virginia B. Serafy, Assistant in Field Work Instruction, School of Social Work, effective October 11, 1957.

Bessie June Wineinger, Instructor in Clinical Pediatric Nursing and Head Nurse, effective October 29, 1957.

Walter H. Schmidt, Assistant County Agricultural Extension Agent, effective October 31, 1957.

Lawrence W. Tremain, County Agricultural Extension Agent, effective November 17, 1957.

Pearl S. Groesser, County Home Extension Agent, effective November 30, 1957.

New Appointments Approved
It was moved by Regent Thompson, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion out to vote and carried, accepting recommendation of the Chancellor's office that the following new appointments be approved.
