Dear Sir,

We are expecting to have
a very nice time during the Chautauqua
assembly here. There will be half-fare
excursons from Norfolk during the wk.
beginning with July 21. A prominent
farmer living near here has an
extensive collection of the grasses of
this county. I believe it would be
highly appreciated by the farmers of
this country and a very taking thing
if we could secure you to give us
a lecture on botany. I would like
very much to know if you could
come for that purpose and I will see
the manager of the assembly as soon
as he comes, which will be in a
few days. our teacher's institute begins
