| 702Hastings Neb. Mond. 2[8?] 1887,
Dear Prof;
I fully expected to be
in Lincoln this evening to
attend the 'state Teachers Assoc."
but am prevented by an aggravated
form of affliction peculiar
to you in his time. My [primal?]
reason for wishing to attend
this meeting was to try talking
up the matter of resurrecting,
or entirely reorganizing, a state
scientific Association. Prof. Whisher
informed me he thinks there has
been such an organization but
that it has died and owing to lack
of interest. It seems to me
we have enough earnest enthusiastic
scientists in this state to
form a very creditable organization. | 702Hastings Neb. Mond. 2[8?] 1887,
