Dear Prof. Bessey, I feel like a thief when I remember that I leave [?] written to you since your kindness to me out Lincoln in June. I have been horribly busy ever since, and you are by no means the only person who has suffered -- if it be suffering. I sent you the other day a copy of our new catalogue. You will see that things are still rather primitive here, but also, I hope, that they promise to be better.
