Davenport Iowa Feb 20th 1880

My Dear Sir

I am in reeipt
of your late [illegible] in answer [illegible] mine. I have

subject is that [illegible] a citizen of Iowa [illegible]
That the state to which I belong shall be sufficiently
alive to its own interest to [illegible] this important

preference but am ready to [illegible] them at anay
