-Buffalo Bill (Hon. Wm. F. Cody) tomorrow (Monday) will appear at the Opera House with a band of genuine Indian chiefs, in his new play written for Mr. Cody by the popular comedian, Charles Foster, and entitled Twenty Days, or Buffalo Bill's Pledge. The new play is gotten up on a different plan from that of his former representations, having less red-fire and rifle flash in it. The appended story of the play, however, will show how vividly interesting and exciting is the production. A brother of a well-to-do rancher dies in England, leaving an immense fortune in his will to his brother's child who has settled on the plains, on condition that she weds his adopted son, Capt. Mortlake, within one month of their first meeting. To way lay and kill the expectant bridegroom and appear in his place to fulfill the conditions of the will is the scheme of Montana Mike, a gambler, and a deadly enemy of Buffalo Bill, whom he thought he had killed some years before, but only maimed him, and who now appeared in disguise; as crippled Jim. Montana Mike is aided by a desperado called Lariat Dan. To unearth this mystery of the two captains, trace out the fraud, avenge a cruel murder, and save the rightful heir from assassination is the task for Buffalo Bill to accomplish in twenty days.
