The following proceedings were then had & done to-wit:
June 21st, 1887: Defendant's appeared & moved to continue said cause to June 22nd., at 2 P.M., continuance granted, and August Saunders became surety for the appearance of all the defendants at said date. June 22nd 1887: Defendants appeared, J.H.Bock entered plea of guilty & it was by the court adjudged that he pay a fine of $50.00 z costs, taxed at $3.20, which he paid & was discharged. Defendants John Sheedy, A. Saunders, Frank Dodson, & W.S. Barnes, each entered a plea of not guilty A. McCormick, J.H.Bock, Wm. Lowne, Lee Standbury & Chas. Sturm, were then sworn on the part of the staete, A. Saunders was sworn on the part of the Defence. J. Norton was sworn to testify on the part of the State in rebuttal, from the testimony I find defendants guilty as charged & it is by me considered & adjudged that they each pay a fine of $50.00, & costs taxed $3.20, each & stand committed until the same are paid. Defendants Sheedy, Saunders, Barnes, & Dodson, gave notice of an appeal & they each together with A. Saunders are surety & John Sheedy, as surety for said A. Saunders entered into a recognizance in the sum of $200.00 each, for their appearance at the District Court of Lancaster County, on the first day of the next term, thereof, to answer said complaint.
