232Buffalo Bill. The frontier hero, Buffalo Bill, comes this evening, and his advent will occasion a great desire to see him in his new play, the "Prairie Waif." There is no other impersonator in broder dramas who maintains such a place in the good will of theatre goers, and the play which he is to present this evening is spoken of highly by the leading papers of the west, where it has had a successful run. The St. Paul Press says: "The academy of music was well packed with the audience of 1,200 people last night to hear the world-renowned Buffalo Bill in his drama entitled 'Prairie Wolf.' The company did very well and Buffalo Bill made a manly and dramatic appearance, and did very fine rifle shooting by gaslight." | 232 |
