36Buffalo Bill Tonight. This noted scout arrived in this city this morning together with is large company, including Sioux chiefs and interpreters direct from the plains of the far west, in a drama especially written for Bill, by Maj. A. S. Burt, of the regular army and a participant with im in several expeditons. It treats mainly of the great Mormon war, in which Cody (though but a mere boy) was a participant. The most interesting scenes of the play, are initiating ceremony or marriage in the endowment chamber of Brigham Young's Temple, and the renowned Austin Bros. who givevarious exhibitions of the habits and vocations of the western men, cracking bull-whacking whips, marksmanship with rifles, shooting objects from eachother's heads, &c., &c. It is unnecessary to say tha they wil be greeted witha full house, for the name Buffalo Bill is always a guarantee for that. | 36 |
