Prof. Bessey,

Dear Sir:

I have just received notice that I am to be ordered to Arizona, so am
to lost he pleasure of your visit. It is impossible to say now, how soon I may
go but probably before the close of the present month. Fort Huachuca is to be
my destination. I shall hope to hear from you, if not direct, through the Bul-
letin or Naturlist.
