Dear Sir:
I have just finished
packing your box which will go by express [?]
the [?] opportunity. I do not think there is any
branch of American Express in our town, but
I have been hoping for some time that there
might be a competing line to [?] [change?].
In the enclosed file I specify 500 3/4 but they will
come fully up to 600. You will understand that
when specimens are sent it is [?] [?] [?]
material, when sufficient I have [?] to make
full complete specimens. I have [?] [?] [to?]
[fill?] up the box some loose oods & ends [?]
[?] [to?] [?] that may do for the [?].
The parcels are of course scattered, but generally
the localities come near together.
I expect to get off on my Eastern trip in about
2 weeks in the mean time have plenty
of [?] to do.
I am in hopes you will write up that
entomological matter satisfactorily. You will see
that Putnam [?] in Riley's favor. I am
not quite sure that that is the best thing, but
perhaps [?]? Hoping to hear that the plants
reach you safely & are satisfactory. I am
Yours Truly
