Hobart V. Hays, Art Director in University Television, leave of absence without pay from July 6 to September 5, 1959; for professional advancement and TV art/graphics research.

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, that the following new appointments be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's office.

Leon F. Nelson, Instructor in Agricultural Engineering and Assistant in Agricultural Engineering, at $5600 per year effective June 15, 1959; in place of Mr. Penton.

College of Arts and Sciences
Wendell Lee Gauger, Assistant Professor of Botany, at $6200 per year effective September 1, 1959; in place of H. L. Weaver who will be on leave for two years.

Charles Corbett Laing, Assistant Professor of Botany, at $6700 per year effective September 1, 1959; in place of Calvin McMillan.

E. David Cronon, Associate Professor of History, at $8500 per year effective September 1, 1959; in place of James L. Sellers who will retire at the end of the currecnt academic year.

Russell A. Forrest, Instructor in Internal Medicine, without salary, effective February 11, 1959.
