"The Prairie Waif" is designed, as have been all the plays of this noted scout and actor, to illustrate life on the plains and in the backwoods, but the illustration now given is not quite so extravagant as those heretofore presented. It is more consitent, and the situations admit of a possibility in the minds of people accustomed to quiet lives, that they paint actual occurrences. To those who have never known life in the West, never seen cow-boys and their ilk, it is impossible for them to realize that such noise, hubbub and confusion can occur as is represented by the drama that Mr. Cody has brought before the public. "Bill" is a good shot, and being the center of attraction draws a great deal of attention. The Indians executed a good war dance and the orchestra made good music. |
