He is a gentleman of culture and refinement, and is an exception to the general rule of frontiersman in the one fact that he never touches a drop of liquor or utters an oath, and that he is a fearless and brave man, for a' that, there are very few that are hardy enough to doubt. We spent a very pleasant hour in drawing him out in relation to his many personal exploits among the Sioux and Cheyennes, in the Black Hills. |
