Dear Dr. Bessey.-
Rightly or wrongly you are charged on the books with parts 4, 5 [0] 6 of Pittonia.
I assume that the whole of vol. II has been received by you, and that these three parts are still un-paid for.
I enclose receipted bill to [invite] payment, for, I am considering thee question of issuing the first instalment of a second volume, and am curious to see just about how many dollars and cents I have [been] sinking in the first.
I am [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] three months tour; and I have not yet had time to glance through the Journals to see where you and other people may have been.
