Meadows and Palmer permitted to engage in news broadcasting on FM Station It was moved by Regent Welsh, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and carried, directing the request of Dean Militzer of the College of Arts and Sciences be approved wherein Professor Paul Meadows be permitted to engage in news broadcasting for a local radio station. A similar request has been received from Dean Earl S. Fullbrook of the College of Business Administration, to permit Professor E. Z. Palmer to engage in news broadcasting for the same local radio station. Permission was granted, it being understood, however, that Professor Meadows and Professor Palmer will not be reported as being affiliated with the University of Nebraska or in any way indicate that they are representing the University of Nebraska. Regents Bookstore named "University Bookstore." It was moved by Regent Elliott, seconded by Regent Swanson, motion put to vote and carried, directing the student bookstore operated by the University be officially named "University Bookstore." Permit erection of storage drying building at Scotts Bluff Exp.Sta. From the Dean of the College of Agriculture, W. V. Lambert, comes an Agreement pertaining to a storage drying building to be erected by the B & C Corporation and the Rolfes Grain Aeration Company. It was stated by Dean Lambert that it is the desire of these companies to erect this building at the Scotts Bluff Experiment Station for the purpose of conducting experiments in forced air drying of farm crops grown at the Station. It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Welsh, motion put to vote and carried, directing the president and corporation secretary of the Board of Regents be authorized to sign in behalf of the Board an agreement with the B & C Steel Corporation and the Rolfes Grain Aeration Company for the erection of a building on the Scotts Bluff Experiment Station. Approve addition to F. M. Hall Art Collection Approval was given to the recommendation of the Director of the University Art Galleries that a number of art objects be purchased for the F. M. Hall Collection. This involves the purchase of 12 photographs from the Weyhe Gallery, New York City, in the amount of $300.00 All have been approved in accordance with the practice of having purchases reviewed by authorities in the field of art. Funds are available under the stipulations providing for the Hall Art Collection. Motion for approval was made by Regent Swanson, seconded by Regent Welsh, put to vote and carried. Accept research and training grants It was moved by Regent Swanson, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried (Regent Foote not voting), directing that the following Research Grants, Training Grants and Fellowships be accepted: Research Grants $1,000 from the Nebraska Heart Association for research by Dr. Loyal C. Payne of the Department of Animal Pathology: Cardiovascular studies in swine. $1,000 from the Nebraska Heart Association for research by Dr. George A. Young of the Department of Animal Pathology: Miniature Pigs for Medical Research. $5,000 from The Rockefeller Foundation for research by Dr. J. H. Lonnquist and Dr. C. O. Gardner of the Department of Agronomy: The effects of linkage on estimates of degree of dominance of genes determining quantitative characters in corn. $1,000 from Great Western Sugar Company through the University of Nebraska Foundation for research by Dr. M.
