RETIREMENT Edna Braun, Instructor and Supervisor of Hospital Nursing Emeritus, at $347.11 per year, single life, effective February 1, 1958. Gilbert Haven Sechrist, Professor of Electrical Engineering Emeritus, at $299.60 per year, single life, effective February 1, 1958. Marija Zobs, Women's Residence Halls, at $40.17 per year, single life, effective February 1, 1958; account 244X. Ada I. Patton, Telephone Switchboard Operator, at $266.48 per year, single life, effective March 1, 1958. Deaths of staff members From the Chancellor's Office comes a report of the death of six staff members. It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, that these deaths be made a matter of record in these minutes and the University payrolls be adjusted. The names of the deceased and dates of deaths are as follows: Olaf A. Gosland, retired from College of Med., January 4, 1958 John Frederick Nilsson, Instructor in Surgery, College of Medicine, February 9, 1958 William D. Lear, Clinical Associate in General Practice, College of Medicine, February 10, 1958 Albert Strain, retired from print shop, Febr. 21, 1958 Lester Cole, Asst. Supv.,Audio Visual Aide, March 30, 1958 O. S. Bare, Assoc. Professor of Entomology, March 30, 1958. Mrs. Bare will receive $547.40 per year, as survivor. From the Business Manager, Mr. Carl A. Donaldson, comes a recommendation that John Latenser and Sons, Architects of Omaha, be employed to prepare plans and specifications for continuation of the renovation program of the electric wiring and services to the South Laboratory Building on the College of Medicine Campus. John Latenser and Sons authorized to prepare plans and Spec. for renov. South Lab.,Omaha It was moved by Regent Swanson, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried, that the Business Manger, Mr. Carl A. Donaldson, be authorized to employ the firm of John Latenser and Sons to prepare plans and specifications for renovation of the electrical service to the South Laboratory Building on the College of Medicine Campus, this portion estimated to cost $30,000 and to be paid from the General University Building Fund. Authorize rental of property near Ag.College farm at 70th and Adams. From the office of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, W. V. Lambert, comes a recommendation that the University enter into a lease for the rental of three pieces of property, one an 80 acre piece owned by Grace Cox, the second a 10 acre piece owned by Charles C. Tubbs, and the third, a 15 acre tract owned by Irvin F. and Kathleen M. Dillen, all in close proximity to the University-owned Agricultural Experiment Station property at 70th and Adams Street.
