THE SHOWS.

Buffalo Bill Last Night -- Bertha Weiby -- A Musical Event You Ought Not to Mise.

Buffalo Bill had an immense audience last night -- the largest, perhaps, had by any combination this season. The house was crowded in every part; so much as that before the ending of the first act the box office was selling standing room only, and turning away seekers for fifty-cent tickets. The play presented was a great improvement over any of Buffalo Bill's former attempts. Cody himself walks the boards a great deal like an actor and if he hadn't a trifle too much [stagine?] about him we should call him at least up to the average -- something that would hardly have been expected of him a year or two ago. He is improving. The support is excellent in all parts. Not the least interesting part of the play was the Indian dances and Mr Cody's rifle shooting. The latter was exciting and excellently done, giving him a good chance to show off a remarkably fine physique and solid nerve. The Indian dances were something seen in no other show and well calculated to interest the curious as to the ways of a race fast perishing from the face of the earth.
