Last night the best house of the week greeted him. "The Red Right Hand" is a drama founded on the Indian war of 1876, in which the lamented Custer and his comrades lost their lives. Shortly following the massacre, Gen. Crook sent out adetachment of the 5th cavalry, Buffalo Bill acting as chief of scouts for the party, which succeeded in overtaking a band of hostile Cheyennes, and capturing "Yellow Hand," their chief Col. Prentice Ingraham has gathered the most important incidents of that campaign, and cleverly introduced an interesting story, using the principal characters of scouts and army officers, giving to the drama some natural effects, which ends with the apotheosis of Custer. To-night it will be repeated. |
