IT is reported that is the custom
of Buffalo Bill to wear a brace of navies
in his belt, besides a scalping-
knife, when pedestrianating the
streets of such frontier towns as
Indianapolis. Isasmuch as the Sentinel
objects to such proceeding it may
be well to refer to the case of the solitary
horseman who was mounted by
a catamount while riding through
one of the suburbs of that town, about
a month since. If a mounted man is
not safe from the catamounts, then
what about footmen.
