RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Satisfactory refernce must be given, upon application
for a safe.
2. No person, other than the renter, or approved deputy
named in the books of the lessor or legal representative (in
case of death, insolvency or other disability of the renter,)
shall have access to the safe except as hereinafter expressly
stipulated.
3. Boxes must not be opened or papers examined within the
vault, but the rooms provided for such purpose.
4. The lessor shall use reasonable diligence that norun-
authorized person shall be admitted to any rented safe; and be-
yond this, the lessor will not be responsible for contents of
any safe rented from it.
5. Each renter will furnished duplicate keys for his safe
and the lessor will hold no duplicate key of any rented safe
during its lease; and such safe shall be opened and shut by its
renter or his deputy, and under the supervision of an auth-
orized representative of the lessor who shall use reasonable
diligence to see that each renter or deputy opens only his
own safe.
6. The lessor shall use reasonable diligence that the keys
of every rented safe, where keys are used, shall be so anlike
those of every other that none of them will unlock more than
one safe.
7. Each safe will be furnished with a new key upon every
change of its renter, adn on its surrender, the key must be
renturned The cost of replacing a lost key will be paid at
once by renter.
8. The lessor reserves the right to terminate at any time
the renting and possession of safe, upon their notice,
mailed to the address, or otherwise delivered to the renter, or
if absent, to the deputy designated upon the books, or to any
other legal representative; and upon the surrender of the keys
of the safe and the removal of its contents, a due proportion of
the rent recceived will be refunded.
9. All rents of safes are payable in advance. If the renter
of a safe at the expiration of any term, or upon an earlier
termination as above provided, shall not renew such rentung
and shall faill to give up possession of the safe, the lessor shall
have the right, at the end of ten days after mailing notice of their
intended action to the address of the renter as registerd in
their books or after direct service thereof, to forcibly open the
safe of such renter, in the presence of two witnesses, and if
the contents thereof shall prove of sufficient value, un the es-
timation of these two witnesses, the lessor shall take charge
of such contents as a special deposit, subject to the payment
of all unpaid rent and other charges, including expenses in-
curred in opening safe and changing lock and keys, but if the
contents shall be thus estimated not of sufficient value for a de-
posit, the lessor shall have the right to remove them from its
vaults and shall bear therafter no further risk thereupon.
10. Access shall be had to the vault only from 9 o'clock a.
m. to 5 o'clock p. m. of each day ( and until 9 o'clock p. m.
of Saturdays, ) excepting Sundays and legal holidays.
11. The lessor reserves the right to alter and amend its
rules and regulations, which amended rules and reg-
ulations shall apply to then existing leases; but not to inter-
fere with any existing contract as to price payable for the rent
of the safe during the term specified in the lease thereof.
12. The within named lessor hereby agrees to the above
rules and regulation, with reference to renting a safe, or
safes, from the lessor, by or for him, now and hereafter , and
acknowledges the receipt of a coppy of these rules and
regulations.
