To the President,
Washington, D.C.

We, the undersigned Insurance Commissioners of the different states of the United States, would respectfully request you to appoint to the vacancy caused by the resignation of Judge Cooley of the Inter-State Commission, the Hon. G. M. Lambertson of Lincoln, Nebraska, who has had many cases before the Commission and has had many cases before the Commission and has served as the Attorney of the Commission in several matters.

We urge this appointment for the reason that the territory west of the Mississippi embracing two-thirds of the total are of the country, and two-fifths of the mileage, has no representation upon the Commission.

Mr. Lambertson is a lawyer of ability, and one whose reputation extends throughout the whole western states. His appointment would reflect credit upon the administration.
