THE AMERICAN FIELD

BUFFALO BILL has struck a bonanza with his Wild West show in London. The English papers are very lavish with their notices, and the public flock to see what Mr. Glastone has termed, and what the majority believe, "a true and accurate representation of American life." But we notice Miss Annie Oakley is carrying off the majority of the honors; she has certainly captured the reporters. The News says her marksmanship is better than Buffalo Bill's, and that her shooting in phenomenal. Miss Oakley gave an exhibition of her shooting recently at a meeting of the Gun Club, which drew a large attendance of the members and their friends. It was her first experience with Blue Rock pigeons, and it is gratifying to know that our little American girl proved herself and expert shot.
