"Buffalo Bill" at the Opera House.

As is always the case, "Buffalo Bill" attracted a large audience to the Opera House last evening, and the usual amount of enthusiasm was expressed. Of his play, "The Prairie Waif," but little can be said, as all who enjoy the "blood and thunder" drama are familiar with almost every line of it. The usual amount of gunpowder and red fire was burned last night, and the audience appeared delighted. The chief attractions were "Buffalo Bill," a live donkey and a still more lively bat, which was awakened from its slumbers in the "flues" by the heavy cannonading, and circled among the audience for several minutes. The rest of the support was not good.

Buffalo Bill.

This noted frontiersman rode through town this morning at the head of a band of Indians, who will assist him to-night in producing a hair-raising performance, entitled the "Prairie Waif." The company played to an $800 house in Harrisburg last night, and in addition to his other achievements the border hero distinguished himself by throwing a disorderly person out of the front door.

"The Prairie Waif."

Last evening Buffalo Bill appeared before a big audience at Fulton opera house with his retinue of real live Indians and border celebrities, in the drama of the "Prairie Waif." The piece was given with the customary gusto, and the exciting passages in which it abounds and in which the noted scout is made to perform deeds of daring never surpassed and seldom equalled, brought down the house in the most approved manner. It was cheerful to contemplate the way in which virtue was rewarded and villainy punished, and in the denouement nothing was wanting to complete the satisfaction of right-minded people not to the point the moral with which this thrilling tale is adorned.
